Bhutan Eco-Expedition (BTT) is a family-owned and operated tour company with years of travel experience.
We began as a small tour operator and over the years we have continued to grow as travelers have continued
to travel with us and have subsequently brought their friends and family members along with them.
Bhutan Eco-Expedition operates with a strong team
of professionals who are trained and have immense experience of

Founder
 Ugen
Lhendup , is the Managing Director and co-founder
of Bhutan Eco-Expedition. Since Ugen graduated from St. Joseph's
College in Darjeeling, he has worked in FAO, based in Thimphu.
He then joined the tourism industry after the tourism became privatized
in 1991. Ugen is “the key person in Bhutan Eco-Expedition,
coordinating the day-to-day arrangements for all the clients.
He runs the office with great efficiency, taking care of the myriad
details. His hard work and attention to detail assures the smooth
operation of all the tours. Ugen makes this experience smooth,
seamless and uncomplicated.
Tashi Tobden, is one of
the most professional guides in Bhutan. He went to DAV College,
Chandigarh (India) and has been leading treks and tours in Bhutan
since 1992. His gentle, friendly manner and ability to seamlessly
problem-solve make his popular with all of our guests. He was
hand-picked by the Department of Tourism to go to Austria (AlpinTreff
School) for training as a mountain guide in 1995. He has also
successfully completed the Eco-tourism Management at Srinakharinwirot
University in Thailand (1998), and the Trekking Course at St.
Jean Mountain Leader School, Val d’Anniviers, Switzerland (2003).
Tashi is also the co-founder of Bhutan Eco-Expedition.
