“Bumthang is one of the most spectacular valleys in Bhutan and also the heartland of Buddhism. The undulating and verdant valleys of Bumthang are known for their beauty, temples and palaces of historical significance. This three-day trek is ideal for average walkers as the altitude does not go over 3,400 metres. The trek crosses several villages and wends through the Bumthang countryside, providing an excellent opportunity to interact with the rural life of Bhutan.“

DAY 01 ARRIVE PARO (by Druk Air), transfer to THIMPHU
DAY 02 THIMPHU – PUNAKHA
DAY 03 PUNAKHA – TRONGSA
DAY 04 TRONGSA – BUMTHANG
DAY 05 BUMTHANG
DAY 06 BUMTHANG – NGANG LHAKHANG (start trek)
Distance - 14 Kms/8.7 miles; Time 5 hours Altitude of Ngang Lhakhang: 2,800 m/9184 ft.
DAY 07 NGANG LHAKHANG - UGYENCHOLING
Distance - 23 kms/15 miles; Time 7 - 8 hours Phephela pass (3,465 m/11,365 ft). Altitude of Ugyencholing: 2,850m.
DAY 08 UGYENCHOLING - BUMTHANG (finish trek)
DAY 09 BUMTHANG - WANGDUE
DAY 10 WANGDUE – PARO
DAY 11 DEPART PARO (by Druk Air)
