Grade | Moderate – Demanding |
Season | March to May & September to Novembe |
Duration | Total 9 days trip (4 nights hotel, 4 nights camping, and 5 days trekking) |
“A five day trek, which leads from Paro to Thimphu or the other way round, crossing the chain of mountains that separates the two valleys. This trek is wonderfully varied: beautiful scenery, good views of mountains and monasteries. Although the route is sparsely inhabited, there are wonderful lakes teeming with fish (trout). Flowering rhododendron and high altitude wild flowers make this a colourful trail in the spring. In clear weather of late autumn there are great views of the snow capped mountains.”
