“This fabulous seven-day trek goes into northern Bhutan to the base of Mount Chomolhari (7315m/23,995 ft). The summit of Chomolhari is considered to be the abode of the goddess Chomo. You will encounter many yak-herders and the views of the mountains are stunning. The trek starts and ends in Paro through a national park area, attaining a maximum altitude at 4,890m/16,040 ft.”

DAY 03 PARO – GUNITSAWA - THONGO ZAMPA (start trek)
Distance 11 kms; Time 4-5 hour Altitude of Thongo Zampa: 3250 m.
DAY 04 THONGO ZAMPA - THANGTHANGKA
Distance 10 kms; Time 4-5 hour Altitude of Thangthangka: 3575m/11,730 ft.
DAY 05 THANGTHANGKA – JANGOTHANG
Distance 17 km/10.5 miles; Time 5 hour Altitude of Jangothang: 4044m/13,260 ft.
DAY 06 JANGOTHANG (rest day)
DAY 07 JANGOTHANG – DHUMZO
Distance 20 km/12 miles; Time 7 hours Bhonte La Pass: 4,890m/16,040 ft. Altitude of Dhumzo: 3,800m/12,460 ft.
DAY 08 DHUMZO - THOMBU
Distance 11 km/7 miles; Time 4-5 hours Takhung La pass (4,540m/14,880 ft) Altitude of Thombu: 4120 m/13510 ft.
DAY 09 THOMBU – GUNITSAWA – PARO (trek ends)
Distance 28 km/17 miles; Time 6 hours Memla (4,270m/14,005 ft).
