SAGALA 360° TREK

Grade Moderate – Demanding
Season Mid March to May & October to November
Duration Total 8 days trip (4 nights hotel, 3 nights camping, and 3 days trekking)

"This is a beautiful short, 3 day trek, traversing along a mountain path dividing the Haa and Paro valleys. The trek starts in Haa (bordering Sikkim and Tibet). It was first opened for tourists in 2004. People in Haa raise yaks and the staple crops are wheat, potatoes, barley and millet. On clear day one can get breathtaking panoramic 360 degree view towards Mt. Chomolhari (the second highest mountain in Bhutan), Mt. Jichu Drake, Mt. Tserim Kang, Mt. Gangkar Puensum (highest in Bhutan) and Mt. Kanchenjunga (third highest peak in the world). The trek also passes through meadows, forests of pine, juniper and rhododendrons.”

DAY 01 ARRIVE PARO (by Druk Air), transfer to THIMPHU
DAY 02 THIMPHU-PARO
DAY 03 PARO
(hike to Taktsang Monastery, Tiger’s Nest).
DAY 04 PARO-HAA
Altitude of Zanga Pang camp: 2800 m.
DAY 05 HAA – SAGA PANG (start trek)
Time: 4-5 hour Altitude of Saga Pang: 3600 m.
DAY 06 SAGA PANG – RIDGE TOP CAMP
Time: 6 hour Altitude at the Summit, 360° view: 4180 m Altitude of Ridge Top camp: 3850 m.
DAY 07 RIDGE TOP CAMP – CHELE LA (finish trek), transfer to Paro by car.
Time 6 hours, Altitude of Paro: 2250 m.
DAY 08 DEPART PARO (by Druk Air)
